Classic 12 Day Tour

Day 1
Coastline - Departing Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Haifa (including the new Bahai Gardens), Druze Villages on the Carmel, the Old City of Acco. Night bathing at Hammat Gader Hot Springs and Spa. Overnight in the north.


Day 2
Galilee - Nazareth, (or nature activity on one of the Galilee's nature reserves), Zippori and its mosaics, panoramic view from Mt. Arbel, Safed - the city of Kabbala, Manara cliff - a panoramic view and rapelling, on to the Sea of Galilee (optional boat tour). Over night in the north


Day 3
Golan Heights - The Syrian Border at Quneitra, wine tasting at the Golan Heights Wineries. On to Beit Shean, The Ancient Synagogue at Beit Alpha. Drive to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.


Day 4
Jerusalem: the New City - The Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book that houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, Knesset (the Israeli Parliament), the Menorah, the Supreme Court, Yad V'Shem Holocaust Museum, City of David. Overnight in Jerusalem, including a night tour of Jerusalem. Among other possibilities - a walk through the Ultra Orthodox neighborhood of Mea Shearim.


Day 5
Jerusalem: the Old City - and its environs, a panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, Kings' Tombs in the Kidron Valley, the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo, the Western (Wailing) Wall (including the Wailing Wall Tunnels). On to the Christian Quarter, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Mt. Zion - room of the last supper and the Tomb of King David, Davidson Archaeological Center. Overnight in Jerusalem.


Day 6
The Judean Plain - Participate in an archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin (this takes a few hours). Then on to the hidden tunnels from the period of Bar Kochva and the Jewish rebellion against the Romans, Mini Israel (the entire country in a miniature model), the stalagmite cave, on to the site of the battle of David and Goliath. Overnight in Jerusalem


Day 7
Dead Sea area - Qumran caves (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found), Ein Gedi nature reserve. A relaxing afternoon floating in the Dead Sea. Overnight at a hotel by the Dead Sea.


Day 8
Dead Sea area - Massada, hiking in the Tamar Canyon (with ropes and ladders). Drive to Eilat.


Days 9 and 10: In and around Eilat: combining leisure and nature activities.

  • Snorkeling and scuba diving at the coral reef
  • The Dolphin Reef
    (optional day tour to Petra from Eilat)


Day 11: Desert activity -Touring the Negev Craters: The colored sands at the Big Crater, giant fossils at the Ramon Crater, hiking in one of the canyons of the Small Crater, camel ride. Drive to Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.


Day 12: Tel Aviv Jaffa: Morning at the "Bakery" (a bullet factory from the time of the War of Independence in Rehovot), the old city of Jaffa and its galleries, Rabin Square, the Carmel Market, Nahalat Binyamin Crafts Fair, Museums (Palmach, Diaspora, Tel Aviv Modern Art).


Option: Wine Tour - visiting selected wineries in the Judean Plain, the Golan and Galilee.




Bar Mitzvah Tour

Day 1
Coastline - Departing Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Haifa (including the new Bahai Gardens), Druze Villages on the Carmel, the Old City of Acco, (there is a possibility for a boat ride in the water caves at Rosh Hanikra). Stay over in the North with night bathing at Hammat Gader Hot Springs and Spa.


Day 2
Nature activity - Rafting on the Jordan River, rapelling at Manara Cliff (snappeling), Tzfat (Safed) - the City of Kabbalah, on to the Golan Heights - the Syrian Border at Quneitra, hiking in one of the canyons in the Golan Heights. Stay over in the north.


Day 3
Drive to the Dead Sea area, on the way - a stop at the ancient city of Beit Shean, on to the Quamran caves, (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found), then to a hike in Ein Gedi nature reserve. Stay over - at the Dead Sea.


Day 4
Massada - (there is a possibility of scheduling the Bar Mitzvah ceremony at the ancient synagogue on Massada instead of in Jerusalem). A relaxing afternoon of floating in the Dead Sea. Stay over - at the Dead Sea.


Day 5
Desert activity - Touring of the Negev craters, the colored sands at the Big Crater, giant fossils at the Ramon Crater, hiking in one of the canyons of the crater, visit Ben Gurion's tomb at Sde Boker, a camel ride. Stay over at a Bedouin encampment.


Day 6
The Judean Plain - Beit Guvrin Caves, the site of the battle of David and Goliath in the Ella Valley, possibility of participating in an archeological dig, Mini Israel (the entire country in a miniature model). Stay over- Jerusalem.


Day 7
Jerusalem, the New City - The Knesset, the Menorah, the Supreme Court, the Israel Museum including the Shrine of the Book that houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Time Elevator (an interactive film about Jerusalem). (Other options: The Biblical Zoo, the Holocaust Museum -Yad V'Shem). Stay over - Jerusalem.


Day 8
Jerusalem, the Old City - The Mount of Olives and a panoramic view of the Old City from there, a visit to the "City of David" including the Shiloach Tunnel, the Davidson Archaeological Center, the Wailing Wall and a visit to the Wailing Wall Tunnels, the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo. Bar Mitzvah ceremony at the Wailing Wall can be arranged during this day (on Mondays and Thursdays only).


Optional:
  • Night hike in the desert on nights of full moon.
  • A visit to a military camp

Christian Pilgrimage Tour

Day 1
Coastline - Departing Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Haifa (including the new Bahai Gardens), the Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery, Druze Villages on the Carmel, the Old City of Acco. Overnight in the north.



Day 2
The North - Nazareth - including the Church of the Annunciation and the Synagogue Church, Mt Tabor Church of the Transfiguration, Cana of the Galilee, site of the first miracle, "Yardenit", the official baptism site. Overnight in the north.



Day 3
Galilee and Golan Heights The Sea of Galilee where we will visit all of the major Christian sites: Capernaum (The city of Jesus), Mt. of Beatitudes (where the sermon on the mountain took place), Tabgha (the miracle of the loaves and fish) and more. On to the Golan Heights - the Syrian Border at Quneitra, wine tasting at the Golan Heights Wineries. Overnight in the north.



Day 4
Massada and the Dead Sea - Mt. Massada, hiking in the Ein Gedi nature reserve, then a relaxing afternoon of floating in the Dead Sea. Overnight at the Dead Sea.



Day 5
Jerusalem: the New City - On the way up to Jerusalem from the Dead Sea - a stop at the Qumran caves, then on to the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, Knesset (the Israeli Parliament), the Menorah, Yad V'ashem Holocaust Museum and a tour of the Wailing Wall tunnels. Overnight in Jerusalem, including a night tour of the city.



Day 6
Jerusalem: The Old City - the churches on the Mount of Olives (Gethsemane and the Church of the Ascension) and a panoramic view of the Old City from there, Kings' Tombs in the Kidron Valley, the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo, the Western (Wailing) Wall, the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), then the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter, Mt. Zion - room of the last supper, the Garden Tomb. Overnight in Jerusalem.



Day 7
The Judean Plain - Mini Israel (the entire country in a miniature model), the battle site of David and Goliath, the Hidden Caves at Beit Guvrin, the Old City of Jaffa, and a tour of Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Mass can be arranged in Nazareth, Jerusalem and other sites around Israel. Visiting Bethlehem is subject to security restrictions.
